What is your dream weekend getaway?
Do you picture snow covered mountains and log fires in a cozy chalet?
Or do palm trees and sandy beaches take your breath away.
Here’s another alternative; what about visiting a town whose roots can be traced back to Etruria? Would you spend a weekend here visiting medieval and renaissance buildings and monuments?
How about if I throw in some chocolate?
The town I’m talking about is Perugia and every October the city hosts EuroChocolate a week long festival celebrating the wonders and delights of, well, chocolate!
This year the event is being held from October 18 to 26 and if all goes according to plan, I will be wandering those chocolate paved streets myself.
In honour of this noble event, I have chosen the Eurochocolate Website as the Website of the Month, so head on over and try not to drool on your keyboard.
A quick note, the Chocostore seems to only ship to European destinations.

Oh! We had eurochocolate in Varese last december! It is quite an event, we all loved it. We had our picture taken with the biggest chocolate bar ever (Guiness World Record) and we ingested as much chocolate on our own… Have fun!
Thanks, I’ll try!
Oh, I want to come! That sounds wonderful.
Next year my hubby and I are going to be on a cruise in the Mediterranean! I’m so excited. Mostly Italy and then a few other ports.
You’ll have to let me know where and when you’ll be. Maybe we can meet up!
I don’t even like chocolate, but this sounds fabulous!!
Wait till you see the sculptures!
YUM! I’ve written about Eurochocolate for Italy Mag too…it’s a sensation
It’s silly how excited I am about going!
What? Eurochocolate? I learn something new everyday.
Perugia is only a train ride away and it lasts until the 26th!
I will be living vicariously through you. Choc on, sister!!
I’ll bring you a souvenier!
